Pray

A Victory Home client is dying tonight.

Just this morning he was sitting at the sound board in church. Four hours later he was found unconscious in the bathroom - overdosed on medication.

A few moments ago, the hospital decided to call in the family.

I hate it.

I hate to see it - it hasn't been the first time, but it doesn't get easier to bear. We're running a mission "a yard from the gates of hell" and not all are stopped. Not all are helped. Not all take that leap of faith and surrender to Jesus' arms.

We go about our lives, shopping, watching TV, running to and fro, and every second more souls drop into hell. All around us there are people in pain, leading empty lives, trying to make sense of life, looking for fulfillment in things that will never satisfy.

He's not gone yet - pray for him, my friends.

Oh, Mike & Melanie, my heart hurts for all of you there at Victory Home who work so hard to bring all those who come to you to a saving knowledge of Christ. Since it is now 2:00 a.m. here as I am first seeing your post, things may have changed for that one soul, but my prayers are for all those there at Victory Home and for you and your family as you face this hardship.

"For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but waters the earth and makes it bring forth and bud that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so shall my Word be that goes forth out of my mouth, it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Isaiah 55: 10, 11

Love & Prayers, Mom
