Incominnnnng!

Spring has sprung, the grass has ris'
I wonder where the birdie is?
There he is up in the sky,
He dropped some whitewash in my eye!
I'm alright, I won't cry,
I'm just glad that cows don't fly.
--Unknown (not me, although it's right up my poetic alley)

We've had some absolutely gorgeous weather here in fickle Virginia. I fluffed the porch cushions (cough, cough, sneeze, sneeze from all the yellow dust) and hung two massive ferns. They'll be dead in a month, but they're real pretty right now.

I get such a thrill in the tummy when the weather warms and the air has that certain smell. Makes me want to buy seedlings to plant and berries to eat. Makes me paint my toenails pink and touch up the paint on the walls.

Soon enough I'll be dripping sweat, battling mosquitos and getting all whiny. But for now,

I embrace Spring...

and keep an eye out for low-flying birdies.

Just think. You could enjoy spring here in New Hampshire where the pesky black flies that come in May for a few weeks are two to three weeks early!

I, too, like the mild spring weather before it gets all HOT and HUMID.And a neighbor told me he heard that mosquitos are predicted to be horrendous this year what with all the moisture and mildness. WONDERFUL!

Oh boy, black flies...I'd nearly forgotten about them! I've heard that same rumor about the mosquitos, so I'm trying to take advantage of all opportunies to enjoy the weather NOW!
